The Academic Structure

STRUCTURE & COURSES:
  1. The academic session of the school runs from April to March.

  2. As per the CBSE norms the scheme of studies for various classes is as follows:

  3. Class I-IV      -      English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Moral Science, GK, Environment Education, Art & Craft

    Class V - VIII   -    English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social Science, Sanskrit, Moral Science, GK, Environment Education, Art & Craft

    Class IX - X   -    English, Hindi/Sanskrit, Maths, Science, Social Science

    Class XI- XII (Non - Medical Group) - English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Physical Education/Computer Science/Informatics Practices

    Class XI- XII (Medical Group) - English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Education/Maths/Computer Science/Informatics Practices

    Class XI- XII (Commerce Stream) - English, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Physical Education/Maths/Informatics Practices
3.   For classes X and XII there are three internal subjects, in addition to the above - Work Experience, General Studies and Physical & Health        Education. Every student needs to qualify these with minimum grades.
4.   Students are advised to opt for a proper stream at the time of admission to class XI. No change is permissible thereafter.
5.   Computer education is imparted as a compulsory part of studies from Std. III to X and is optional for Std. XI and XII.

EXAMINATIONS :
  1. The school is affiliated to CBSE and follows the courses and rules laid down by it. The school has implemented the scheme of Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation, recommended by CBSE.
  2. Keeping the spirit of CCE in mind, the scheme of evaluation for different wings of the school has been laid down as follows:-
    Classes : Pre-Primary (LKG-UKG)     -      5 Evaluations
    Classes : Primary I - V      -     3 Evaluations
    Classes : VI - X     -      CCE Pattem
  3. For classes VI - X the entire session has been divided in two terms:

    April to September and October to March. Each term will have two
    Formatives & one Summative assessment.
    CLASSES VI TO X

    First Term:     FA-I (10%) + FA-II (10%) + SA-I (30%)      (April to Sept)

    Second Term:     FA-III (10%) + FA-IV (10%) + SA-II (30%)      (Oct to March)

  4. In addition to academic evaluation of the child, comprehensive evaluation in various co-scholastic domains in carried out as per the CBSE guidelines. Co- scholastic areas include different skills, attitude & values, participation in various clubs & school activities.
  5. Promotion is based on day to day work of the students throughout the year & also on the performance in Scholastic & Co-Scholastic domains.
  6. The decision of the school authorities regarding the result of the pupil will be final.
